Yorkshire hotel named best in UK

Car hire customer may be interested to know that a hotel in Yorkshire has been named the best in the UK.

The Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate has been honoured at the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awards, after being praised for its "faultless" service.

One guest commented that "if we had been snowed in, I would not have been unhappy!" and the accommodation experts even made it on to the World’s Top Ten Luxury list.

Finishing runner-up was the Manor Coach House in Worcester, which also holds the distinction of being voted onto the World’s Best Bargain – coming third.

The winners were voted for exclusively by the reviews and opinions of people who had actually used them from all around the globe.

Mary Rance, chief executive of UKinbound, recently said that more needs to be done to attract tourists to the country after the Office for National Statistics revealed the number of trips taken to the UK last year did not increase in the three months from September to November.
