Uncover Liverpool’s history with car hire at Manchester Airport
People using car hire at Manchester Airport might like to drive to the Liverpool Irish Festival, which is being held from October 15th to 31st.
The event aims to celebrate the historical links between Liverpool and Ireland and involves a programme of activities including dance, film and comedy.
Visitors can join in traditional music sessions, attend a Ceili and watch Gaelic football, as well as take part in heritage walks and talks.
Irish artists performing at the festival include Brian Kennedy, Andy Irvine, Damien Dempsey and Christy Moore.
Car hire users may enjoy the Irish Night at the Inglenook – an evening of music, comedy, dance and food – or the Irish Sea Sessions, for which a range of musicians will play together in what is billed as "part super group, part colossal session and part festival".
The drive from Manchester Airport to Liverpool should take around 45 minutes, if motorists choose the route along the M56 and M6.
