Tourist attractions a pull for car rental customers?

Car hire customers and other tourists are set to visit attractions all over the country, it has been suggested.

The Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (Alva), revealed that 82 per cent of its members expect the number of people who visit their premises to remain at its current level or increase – compared to 60 per cent last year.

It also found that the median increase in volumes of attendees across the sector was 10.9 per cent – with free entry locations improving considerably.

Robin Broke, director of the Alva, said: "The tourism industry played a vital role in Britain’s economy last year, with leading attractions working hard to maintain visitor figures and revenue in a challenging fiscal environment."

It was recently suggested by UKinbound that more needs to be done to entice tourists to come to Britain, as the organisation announced the setup of a working party to look at ways to encourage more people to come to the UK.
