Take the family to the Exmoor Food Festival

If you need ideas for a break in October, why not consider heading to south-west England for the Exmoor Food Festival?

The event runs from October 2nd to 10th and offers the chance to sample some delicious food and drink amid the beautiful scenery of one of Britain’s national parks.

Visitors will be able to try a wide range of local produce through various food fairs, themed evenings, cookery courses, farmers’ markets, tasting platters, farm visits and cream teas.

The dates of the event coincide with the North Devon & Exmoor Walking Festival, so you will also be able to try a number of food-themed walks in the area.

For the first weekend of the Exmoor Food Festival, events will mainly take place in Lynton and Lynmouth in Devon, while the second weekend will see the focus placed on Minehead, Dunster and Porlock in Somerset.

If you’re using Gatwick car hire to get to Exmoor, you can do so by heading onto the M5 and exiting at either junction 27 or 25.
