See top British comedy with car hire at Manchester Airport

Users of car hire at Manchester Airport might like to see top British entertainers at the Manchester Comedy Festival.

The event, which is being held from October 18th to 31st, will host well-known names such as Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle and Russell Kane.

Over 200 shows will be performed at 30 venues across Greater Manchester, including traditional settings such as the Comedy Store and the Frog and Bucket in the city centre, as well as locations further out like Electrik Bar in Chorlton.

The event's organisers said many new acts that are waiting to be discovered can be seen at the festival, alongside international comedians and local comics such as Mick Ferry.

And according to Visit Manchester, the event could easily be listed alongside world-famous names like the Edinburgh Fringe.

The city centre can be reached from Manchester Airport in less than half-an-hour by car, if motorists drive along the M56 and merge onto the A5103.
