See autumnal scenery with car rental at Edinburgh Airport
Car hire at Edinburgh Airport could be an ideal way to see Britain's scenery in all its autumnal glory.
One North East certainly thinks so, as it stated now "is the perfect time of year to kick up the leaves in the many stunning forests in north-east England".
Many of the region's forests are set in beautiful and tranquil countryside and are full of wildlife, it said.
Car hire users may enjoy strolling through the forests of Rothbury, which cover an area of 10,500 hectares.
The major parks are Kidland, Uswayford, Harbottle, Thrunton and Harwood, which are "overlooked by the majestic Cheviot hill" and "provide a lovely mixture of tree species, habitats and landscapes", according to the Forestry Commission.
It should take people just over two hours to drive to Rothbury from Edinburgh Airport, if they select the A720 before exiting onto the A68 towards Jedburgh, which they should leave for the A697 at Carfraemill roundabout.
