More accommodation options for car hire customers?
Car hire customers in the UK will have a greater range of hotels to choose from in the future, it has emerged.
Travelodge has announced that it is constructing ten new buildings at a cost of £61 million and an extra 1,133 rooms will be available for people to rest their heads.
Paul Harvey, the group’s managing director for development, stated that it had taken the opportunity to expand during the recession – taking advantage of the lower property prices.
"This group of exchanges include our first hotels in Cannock and Andover and also steps up our presence in some of the UK’s leading cities."
Almost half of the company’s premises are now in city centres, it remarked, with some six-and-a-half million people staying with the chain last year.
The Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate was recently named the best hotel in the UK by TripAdvisor – it received particular praise for its "faultless" service.
