London car rental customers to visit museum?
Car hire customers in London may want to visit the museum and experience the War, Plague and Fire exhibition.
Taking place at the Museum of London, the gallery display begins in 1558 and follows right through to the Great fire of 1666.
Hazel Forsyth, Senior Curator of Post-Medieval London, noted that this particular period of history was defined by revolution and encouraged everyone to find out about how "overcrowded and divided, many Londoners prospered but others struggled".
On show at the presentation will be printing plates from the city’s earliest map, exquisite Jacobean jewels, rare delftware pottery, archaeology from the fire that nearly destroyed the city and Oliver Cromwell’s death mask.
It was recently announced that sightseeing has been made an easier pastime in the capital thanks to a pass that entitles the holder to see a variety of well-known landmarks, including Stamford Bridge, Wimbledon’s Court No. 1 and Lord’s County Cricket Ground.
