Join in outdoor festival with car hire at Manchester Airport

Those planning to use car hire at Manchester Airport might like to enjoy some British scenery by heading to the Lake District.

People arriving between September 25th and October 3rd will be just in time to catch the Ullswater Outdoor Festival, where they can join in guided walks, activities and talks.

Visitors can enjoy evening entertainment headlined by BBC Radio 2's Stuart Maconie and try out wild swimming, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking.

The event's organisers will be found next to the Tourist Information Centre in Glenridding, Ullswater, in the Lake District National Park.

Ullswater is less than a two-hour drive from Manchester Airport and can be accessed by taking the M56 out of the city.

After continuing onto the A5103, car hire users should exit onto the M60 at junction five, before taking the M61 and merging onto the M6.

Drivers should then take the A590 and head towards Windermere.
