Join a song extravaganza with Heathrow car rental
Those taking advantage of Heathrow car rental could drive to Oxford to join in an event to celebrate song.
The Oxford Lieder festival is being held from October 15th to 30th and will present over 500 songs at almost 30 different concerts.
Workshops and activities will also be taking place and visitors are encouraged to come along to Singing for All, a fun class for adult beginners.
Artists at the event include guitarist Christoph Denoth – who is set to play Schubert in the New College Chapel – and sisters Sophie and Mary Bevan, who will be singing a repertoire of solos and duets.
The festival was founded in 2002 and since then has "rapidly established itself as one of Europe's most significant musical events", according to the organisers.
It ought to take less than an hour for car hire users to reach Oxford from Heathrow Airport if they select the M4 before exiting at Junction 4b onto the M25.
