Head to Brighton with Gatwick car hire for huge free festival
Holidaymakers looking for fun activities by the sea might want to head to Brighton to take in Europe’s largest free beach festival.
The Paddle Round the Pier event runs on July 3rd and 4th and is expected to attract over 1,000 visitors keen to take to the sea on one of a wide range of buoyancy aids.
Last year’s festival saw attendees circle the West Pier using lilos, canoes, carpets, a thunderbird craft and even an enchanted island.
The event will also include activities such as mountain biking, kayaking and windsurfing, while live music and art exhibitions will run throughout the festival.
Alfresco dining and a licensed bar will be available for refreshments.
If you’re using Gatwick car hire, Brighton is just half an hour’s drive from the airport. You can take the M23 and A23 to get there, or alternatively use the B2028, which makes for a slightly longer journey.
