Head to Bournemouth for Summer Live fun

If you’re thinking of taking the family to Bournemouth this summer, you’ll be able to enjoy a wide range of special events as part of the Summer Live festival.

Summer Live sees a series of events take place in the town centre and Lower Gardens until July 18th, offering something for everyone in the process.

Visitors will be able to catch up with the latest from the Wimbledon Championship via a big screen in the Lower Gardens between June 21st and July 4th, while the screen will also serve as an open-air cinema for family films between July 5th and 16th.

Other events include the Marching Bands fiesta between June 27th and July 1st and an animation, digital art and participation weekend running from July 16th to 18th.

"Following last year’s excellent free event, we’re hoping that Bournemouth Summer Live 2010 is going to be even better," says Roger Parker, Bournemouth town centre manager.

If you’re using Heathrow car rental, the best way to get to Bournemouth is via the M3 towards Southampton.
