Have a woolly good time with Manchester Airport car hire

Those using car hire at Manchester Airport can see many events and attractions in the north-west of England and one of these is the Westmorland County Show on Thursday, September 9th from 08:00 to 17:30 BST.

Westmorland no longer exists as a county, being absorbed into the newly formed Cumbria in 1974, but the show is still going and families will be able to enjoy seeing all sort of animals, watch traditional sports like Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling and browsing stalls for local produce.

There will also be mountain bike trials demonstrations and award-winning cheesemaker Steve Wilson will be bringing his wares to the show, all of which could help make it a great part of a visit to the Lake District.

Visitors will find getting to the event easy, as it is to be held close to junction 36 of the M6 motorway at Lane Farm near Crooklands, south of Kendal.

After picking up a hire car at Manchester Airport, you can take the M56 motorway westbound to Lymm in Cheshire, from where the M6 heads north through Lancashire and on into Cumbria.
