Have a seal of a time with car hire at Glasgow Airport
Those using car hire at Glasgow Airport may wish to drive to many places in Scotland where local wildlife can be seen and one option could be to see the seals at Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye.
Until September 30th, visitors to the castle can take a boat trip on Loch Dunvegan to see the seal colony, as well as birds such as the Arctic tern and Herons, all at close quarters.
You can also visit the castle itself and its gardens as well.
Skye itself also has plenty of mountain scenery, with the jagged peaks of the Black Cuillin being renowned for their challenging climbs.
To get to Dunvegan from Glasgow Airport, take the M8 motorway from the airport signposted for Greenock, before leaving the motorway at Junction 30 and joining the A898, which crosses the River Clyde on the Erskine Bridge.
On the other side, take the A82 through the west Highlands through Fort William, before taking the left turning for the A830, which takes you to the Mallaig ferry terminal.
After crossing, use the A851 to join the A87, turning left and continuing onto the A863 and finally the A850 for Dunvegan.
