Have a go at rug making with car hire from Manchester Airport
Visitors touring the north of England with car hire at Manchester Airport may learn a range of things about this part of the world, but for those who fncy picking up a new skill a trip to the Yorkshire Dales could be in order.
On September 26th the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes is hosting a demonstration on how to make rugs – and you can have a go yourself.
The event runs from 10:00 BST to 17:00 and could make an enjoyable part of a visit to the National Park with its limestone scenery and rolling moors.
Another place some might enjoy visiting in Hawes is the Wensleydale Creamery, where the white crumbly cheese of that name is made.
To reach Hawes, take the M56 and A5103 from the airport to join the M60 Manchester orbital motorway.
At Junction 15, exit onto the M61, heading north to join the M6, which you should take as far as the Kendal exit at Junction 37.
From here, take the A684 for Sedbergh, which takes you into the national park and all the way to Hawes.
