Environmentally aware car rental customers to drive a Fiat?

Car hire customers who are conscious of their carbon footprint may want to lease a Fiat.

This is because the company has just announced that all its vehicles are to carry the eco:Drive – an in-car system that saves on fuel and reduces emissions.

It has the ability to optimise petrol consumption, as well as evaluating driving behaviour and the impacts that it can have on the system.

Andrew Humberstone, managing director of Fiat UK and Ireland, noted that by spreading this technology throughout the fleet it would be able to reduce the impact on the environment.

"Individual drivers making small savings can have a positive effect in reducing the overall fleet carbon footprint and generate significant costs savings across the business," he added.

It was recently announced that Sixtcar hire is unveiling a new range of electric cars that will boast impressive green credentials, Limo News reports.
