Enjoy the proms with car hire at Edinburgh Airport
Those using car hire at Edinburgh Airport can do something in September that may seem difficult so far from London – enjoy the Last Night of the Proms.
While the Royal Albert Hall may host the actual climax to the summer season of classical music concerts, recent years have seen the development of Proms in the Park, in which various open-air venues show the jamboree on live screens.
This year the city of Dundee hosts such an event for the first time, only it is actually indoors at the city's Caird Hall.
All tickets are free but allocated randomly by ballot, so it is best to apply quickly to the BBC.
Those getting in will be able to enjoy not just events in London, but also more local entertainment from the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
To get to Dundee from Edinburgh Airport, take the M90 motorway northwards over the firth of Forth to Junction 2A, joining the A92 marked for Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy.
This road will take you all the way across the Fife Peninsula and over the Tay Bridge to Dundee.
