Enjoy Christmas shopping with Glasgow Airport car rental
Those using car rental at Glasgow Airport might like to drive to the town of Lanark, where they can make a start on their Christmas shopping.
Lanark's festive market is due to take place on November 20th, at which visitors can expect a day of fun for all the family, according to Discover Scotland.
The town's High Street will be closed for the day to make room for close to 100 stall holders, selling local and international food, drink, crafts and gifts.
In previous years, the event has attracted over 13,000 visitors and also includes a fairground, entertainers and a Father Christmas.
Visit Scotland states Lanark is "a bustling market town" 25 miles south-west of Glasgow that is characterised by Victorian buildings and spires.
People might like to see the 18th-century Church of St Nicholas, which houses the world's oldest bell and an 1882 statue of William Wallace, who is believed to have got married in the town.
