Enjoy a “unique” festival with car hire at Edinburgh Airport

People using car hire at Edinburgh Airport might enjoy driving to the Perthshire Amber music festival.

Visit Scotland described the event as "unique" and selected it as one of the highlights of the country's events calendar this autumn.

The festival is organised by songwriter Dougie MacLean with the aim of showcasing his music and the beautiful scenery of his native Scotland.

A range of international and local musicians will be performing in atmospheric venues such as Blair Castle and Dunkeld Cathedral.

Car hire users will be able to get involved in workshops, walks, talks and open-mic sessions, as well as listening to the concerts.

The event is being held from October 29th to November 7th and people may particularly enjoy a musical bus trip through Perthshire on November 1st and a walk around Dunkeld and Birnam the following day.

Drivers can expect to reach Perth in less than an hour from Edinburgh Airport and should take the M9 and the A90 out of the city.
