Enjoy a cave and a castle with car hire at Manchester Airport
The Lake District is one of the most popular national parks in Britain with visitors coming from around the world, so those using car hire at Manchester Airport may wish to join them.
And visitors who want to explore the scenery close up can do so in the company of national park rangers in the valley of Borrowdale on September 12th.
Starting at the National Trust car park in the village of Seatoller, this guided walk begins at 11:00 and lasts for four hours, taking in the peak of castle crag, a cave and the green scenery of the valley as well as its surrounding mountains.
People taking part should bring walking boots and a packed lunch, as well as waterproofs as nearby Seathwaite is the wettest place in England.
To get to Seatoller from Manchester Airport, first take the M56 and A5103 to reach the M60 Manchester orbital motorway.
From here, join the M61 at Junction 15, heading north to join the M6, which then takes you up to Cumbria.
At Junction 40 (Penrith), take the A66 signed for Keswick and this will take you to the town, which has plenty of accommodation.
From here, the A591 takes you southwards out of the town, with the turning onto the A5271 taking you to the B5289 road to Seatoller.
