Eat to the Merseybeat with car hire at Manchester Airport

Visitors using car hire at Manchester Airport may be keen to sample some English culinary produce and next month offers a big chance to do so at the Liverpool Food and Drink festival.

Held at Sefton Park from September 12th to 18th, the event is in its third year and will offer a wide range of opportunities to taste food, try drinks and watch cookery demonstrations.

Local, national and international exhibitors will be present, meaning visitors can try everything from Liverpool's famous scouse stew to Caribbean dishes.

There will also be plenty of celebrity chefs, music and entertainment to keep everyone cheerful during the event.

Visitors to Liverpool might also take the chance to see its other attractions, such as the Tate Northern art gallery and a ride on the famous Mersey ferry.

Getting to Sefton Park from Manchester Airport is easy, starting with a drive westbound on the M56, joining the M6 northbound at Junction 9.

Head north on the M6 to Junction 21A, joining the M62 westbound towards Liverpool as far as the end of the motorway, going onto the A580.

Take this as far as the A5058 (Queen's Drive) as far as Mossley Hill, where the right turn up Mossley Hill Drive leads to the park.
