Driving tips for car hire customers renting vehicles this weekend
Car hire customers and tourists in the UK are being urged to take care when travelling over the bank holiday weekend.
Motorists and car hire clients should try and plan their route before they leave, according to Marks & Spencer.
Head of general insurance Andrew Ferguson remarked: "We are urging motorists to take adequate precautions before setting off and while driving to avoid unnecessary stress, breakdowns and causing further delays on the roads."
It was also suggested that drivers take refreshments with them to avoid dehydration, which may happen if people get stuck in traffic jams.
Last year around 11 million Brits were on the roads over the holiday, according to the RAC.
Meanwhile, car hire customers and others may be interested to hear of a number of different places they could visit with one option being a trip to the West Country to view the National Trust’s Castle Drogo.
