Drive to Leeds using car hire at Manchester Airport
Car hire at Manchester Airport could take people to Leeds, which was recently recommended as a great place to visit for families.
The Lonely Planet stated the city's most interesting museum is the Royal Armouries, close to the Clarence Dock residential development.
Originally built to house the Tower of London's armour and weapons, the attraction has since been extended to cover 3,000 years of fighting history.
"It all sounds a bit macho, but the exhibits are as varied as they are fascinating," the travel guide stated.
The museum includes films, live demonstrations and hands-on technology, with exhibits such as Indian elephant armour on display.
It should take car hire users approximately an hour to reach Leeds from Manchester Airport, if they select the M56 before turning onto the M60, which will merge into the M62.
From here, drivers need to exit at Junction 27 onto the M621 and then take the A643 into the city.
