Cornwall ‘the place to go for scenic beauty’

Car hire customers who are looking for beautiful scenery and remote locations should visit Cornwall, it has been claimed.

Cornish Cottages is offering a number of places to stay that would be perfect for two people in the south-west of the county.

But if it is a larger party that is interested the website also has accommodation that can cater for up to ten individuals at any one time.

One dwelling advertised is The Round House, a grade II listed building. The cottage has a beamed, round lounge and the original capstan is still there – with the property costing £277-a-week to rent up until March 27th, with the figure rising to £768 during the peak summer weeks.

The head of VisitCornwall, Malcolm Bell, was recently quoted by Business Cornwall as saying that 2009 had been a successful year for the area and that he hoped to build on it.
