Car rental customers to visit affordable UK attractions?
Car hire customers may be encouraged to learn that the UK is "extremely affordable" at present, an expert has claimed.
Mary Rance, chief executive of UKinbound, noted that a mixture of a weak pound and a number of attractions having free entry mean that it is an accessible tourism destination.
She added: "The [country] is full of hidden gems and offers places of interest to young and old, first-time and seasoned visitors."
The region has some of the finest terrain for walking, Ms Rance remarked, with areas such as the Pennines and Peak District perfect for this pastime.
Easter is always a busy time for tourism, she observed and this year will be no different, as individuals take the opportunity to go to such iconic places as Windsor, Salisbury and Stonehenge.
A poll recently published by Beautiful Britain found that Big Ben is Britain’s most loved landmark, with the White Cliffs of Dover and Edinburgh Castle also in the top five.
