Car rental customers to get green Sixt vehicles?

Potential Sixtcar hire customers in London may be encouraged to learn that a new scheme is being launched that will allow drivers to let electric cars.

These zero emissions vehicles will come in the shape of a Citroen Ev’ie, a vehicle that boasts some impressive green credentials, Limo News reports.

It is perfect for driving around the capital, the news provider added, as you can escape the congestion charge and it also has designated car parking spots in the city.

Green sister to the C1, the information outlet stated that the Ev’ie can travel for up to 75 miles on a single battery, with the cost of recharging it as little as 95p.

It was recently announced that the Department for Transport is introducing a grant that will entitle leasing companies up to £5,000 off the cost of buying new, low-carbon fleets – with the automobiles needing to pass EuroNCAP tests before they can qualify.
