Car rental customers may go on a ‘kidcation’
The latest trend in the travel world is the ‘kidcation’, it has been suggested – a plan that may appeal to car hire customers who have young offspring.
Thistle Hotels noted that there has been an increase in the number of families looking to combine "learning with fun" while on a short city break.
In order to cater for the movement, the chain has launched a package, with rooms costing £80 a night, including bed and breakfast.
As well as this, they are also offering 50 per cent off an additional suite, while under-12s can eat from the main menu for 50 per cent less.
Children will be given "their own goody bag so they really are at the centre of the action", the service provider state, which will include a magic expandable flannel and folding toothbrush, an activity sheet and a notepad.
The organisation is part of the Guoman Hotel Management and operates 33 premises throughout the UK.
