Car hire customers to visit Newquay?

Car hire customers and other tourists should consider taking a trip to Newquay, it has been suggested.

Teresa Timms, PR manager for VisitCornwall, noted that it may be traditionally seen as a venue for young people, but she stated that there is a lot on offer for families as well.

Stunning beaches and fantastic accommodation, she remarked, made it a place where everyone could holiday.

Ms Timms added: "Because of its location, Newquay is ideally placed to explore both the east and the west of the county."

She also commented on the fact that within 40 minutes holidaymakers can get to the Eden Project and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth – with the famous Tate St Ives a further ten minutes away.

According to Tourism Newquay, a number of the town’s properties have reported an increase in European bookings for 2010 – with the euro to sterling conversion rate making the UK a good choice.
