Car hire customers to try farming?

Car hire customers and others who are looking to escape the city may be interested in an outing with a difference, it has been claimed.

Lovesome Hill in North Yorkshire is offering the Farm Activity Break, which will provide people with an opportunity to go and experience some of the countryside.

Marcus Simmons, managing director of iknow-yorkshire.co.uk, noted that everyone wants to trade in their life in the city from time to time and an increased number of people want to try their hand at cultivation.

He added: "We list many working farms … and they always prove to be some of our most popular properties. It seems that we just can’t get enough of the countryside!"

The trip costs from £100 per adult for a couple of nights, based on two people sharing and the price includes all meals.

A recent survey by VisitBritain has found that Yorkshire tourism is growing at a quicker rate than anywhere else.
