Car hire customers to see advantage of new strategy?
Car hire customers may benefit from a better tourism experience in the future after it was revealed that a strategic framework document has been launched.
It was drawn up to cover the next ten years by VisitEngland and the company is hoping to secure up to 225,000 more positions for the industry as a result.
Already employing over two million people, the sector is now worth £97 billion a year.
James Berresford, the organisation’s chief executive, noted that it is a fantastic country to come and stay in, whether it is for a long weekend or a fortnight.
"This framework strives for an even higher standard of quality and service so that we improve our offering, increase jobs, spend and growth and champion a competitive industry," he added.
On its recent top ten highlights of things to see while in England, the group picked an exhibition of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings and letters at the Royal Academy of Arts, London as number one.
