Car hire customers to indulge in leisure activities?

Car hire customers who are holidaying in the UK may want to take advantage of the range of leisure activities available.

James Brooke, managing director of the British Leisure Show, noted that pastimes such as mountaineering, canoeing and fishing can all be tried in the country.

Indeed, he stated that Britain has an "extraordinary amount to offer".

There has been a resurgence in the awareness of what is offered, Mr Brooke observed, as people look "for much better value options that offer them the opportunity to allow their whole family to benefit".

An increasing popularity in extreme sports is also occuring, he remarked, especially in young people, who are always willing to try something new.

Research recently released by VisitBritain has found that tourism is expected to be one of the best-performing sectors in the next decade – with its contribution to the economy to grow at 3.5 per cent annually.
