Car hire customers to go caravanning?

Car hire customers who are caravan enthusiasts may want to know that a number of sites throughout the UK are to benefit from a £12.7 million investment.

The Caravan Club will be undertaking a number of refurbishments, which will see improvements in a number of areas, including Balbirnie Park.

Work there is due to be finished by the summer on the parkland set area, with the 76-pitch site popular for walkers as a variety of marked trails lead from the site, many of which are also suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

Nick Lomas, director of marketing at the club, noted that the developments represented an exciting time for the clients.

"We are sure that members will enjoy these new sites, as well as the upgraded facilities. The work plan … demonstrates our commitment to them."

It was recently announced that caravan devotees had raised an extra 20 million for the rural economy.
