Car hire customers may pay less due to volcanic eruption
Some restrictions on UK airspace have now been lifted and as thousands of people make their way home a car hire company has come up with a possible solution.
Hertz has waived some charges for car hire customers travelling across borders on a one-way rental agreement from the UK and the company has also extended rental periods for customers who were delayed as a result of the recent volcanic eruption in Iceland.
The firm also said it has vehicles that need to be brought back to the UK from clients who have hired on a one-way basis to travel to Europe and vice-versa.
To ensure cars are returned to their rightful countries the company has stated those doing this will not have to pay the usual fee associated with a one-way agreement.
Car hire customers planning to go on a break over the upcoming May Day bank holiday have been given advice from Kwik Fit customer services director David White who stated drivers should perform pre-travel checks on vehicles with tyres and batteries being the most obvious.
