Car hire company launches scheme to help get people moving

A new initiative has been set up to help car hire customers trapped in the UK return to mainland Europe or vice-versa.

Green Motion is giving drivers the chance to take a one-way hire from the UK to any destination within Europe.

Also, anyone who wants to leave the vehicle abroad can do so and this will mean it can be given to someone else to use who is trying to get back to the UK.

Managing director Richard Lowden said: "Green Motion has been inundated with one-way requests from the UK to mainland Europe."

The firm is also offering clients the opportunity to hire a vehicle with a driver who will then bring the motor back.

Green Motion started up in 2005 and it has a range of vehicles available to rent including multi-seaters and vans that all have low carbon emissions and use the latest in CO2 technology.
