Car hire at Glasgow Airport could be great for book lovers
People using car hire at Glasgow Airport could visit the Wigtown Book Festival, which is taking place from September 24th to October 3rd.
The event offers visitors an extensive programme of activities, including a screenwriting course, a fireworks display and storytelling workshops.
A host of writers and performers will be present at the festival, including Iain M Banks, Martin Bell and Ian Rankin.
Adrian Turpin, festival director, said visitors will find "good company, fine food, wonderful bookshops and some of the most beautiful countryside in Scotland" at the event.
There will also be an entire programme dedicated to children, featuring circus skills workshops and puppet versions of stories such as the Three Little Pigs.
Wigtown is less than a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Glasgow Airport and to get there motorists need to take the A726 out of the city.
They should then merge onto the M77 heading towards Kilmarnock and continue onto the A77.
At St Cuthbert's Road, motorists need to turn left and drive through Galloway Forest Park before reaching Wigtown.
