Car hire at Gatwick Airport could be ideal for budding artists
Car hire at Gatwick Airport could be the ideal way for art lovers to attend a two-day drawing festival in London.
The Make Your Mark on the Future event being held on October 22nd and 23rd will involve a range of free activities along the River Thames from London Bridge to Tower Bridge.
It aims to encourage people to embrace their creativity by joining in life-drawing sessions, painting murals and sketching the capital's landmarks.
Visitors can see illustrators from publications such as the Guardian and the Sun compete in the Battle of the Cartoonists and attend workshops led by Cliff Wright, illustrator for the Harry Potter novels, at the British museum.
Sue Grayson Ford, director of the Campaign for Drawing, which is organising the event, said: "Our aim is to show that drawing is a vital tool for learning, observation, thought, creativity and communication. Best of all it's accessible – at the end of our fingertips."
It should take car hire users approximately an hour to drive into central London from Gatwick Airport, if they select the M23 northbound.
