Car hire at Edinburgh Airport may be ideal for book lovers
Those using car rental at Edinburgh Airport this month will be just in time to catch the Durham Book Festival.
With a programme running until October 28th, the event is billed by organisers as a chance for people to "shamelessly indulge [their] passion for books and ideas in the beautiful surroundings of the city of Durham".
It combines interactive activities and live performances, with many events being held in the city's historical buildings, such as the cathedral and the town hall.
Visitors can hear from authors such as Sadie Jones, Blake Morrison and David Peace, as well as attend a masterclass on experience writing led by poet and novelist Jackie Kay.
Furthermore, children ought to be kept entertained with a special programme of events for younger readers and families during the half-term week.
It should take car hire users approximately three hours to reach Durham if they drive along the A720 before exiting onto the A68.
