Camouflage yourself with car hire at Manchester Airport
Visitors using car hire at Manchester Airport may find a great activity for all the family at the Imperial War Museum North.
Up until September 12th, the venue is hosting its Camouflage display, which not only explores the use of the art in war since it was first adopted 95 years ago, but also offers the family a chance to join in.
Those entering the Camouflage Trail can try out some for themselves to see if they can become invisible.
Artifacts on the trail include a real First World War trench mortar.
There are other treats for the family as well, such as All Aboard: Stories of War at Sea, which is showcased in the special exhibition gallery and includes theatrical performances on Saturdays.
To get to the museum from the airport, take the M56 and then the A5103 towards central Manchester, joining the M60 motorway heading westbound.
At junction 9, take the A5081 towards Trafford Park, which passes through the industrial estate before taking a left turning for the museum close to Old Trafford Football Ground.
