BVLA ‘urges car hire customers to move quickly’
Car rental customers are being advised to book ahead during the busy Easter period to avoid disappointment.
The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) noted that companies had reduced their fleet sizes during the recession and so vehicles could be at a premium.
John Lewis, chief executive of the BVRLA, stated that this would result in periods of time where potential car rental customers would be left empty handed.
He added: "You wouldn’t go to an airport and expect to buy a ticket on the day you want to travel and the same should apply to renting a car."
The organisation has released its guide to renting a car, which offers a number of handy tips on how to get the best deal.
Manufacturers Toyota and Fiat were recently revealed to have already met their 2012 emissions targets – making them the green choice for prospective car hire customers.
