Burns Night the ideal time for car hire customers to visit Scotland?

Car hire customers hoping to celebrate Burns Night have been advised to attend one of the many events taking place in Scotland over the coming days.

The poet’s life and works are celebrated each year on January 25th, with this marking the 251st anniversary of his birth.

And Stewart Daniels, general manager of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, noted that a host of events will be held throughout the country.

Burns Supers – which can range from formal gatherings to boisterous parties – were highlighted as the traditional means of celebration, with a chance to explore literature as well as Scottish food and drink.

And Ayrshire was singled out as an ideal destination for car hire customers and other tourists, as Mr Daniels commented: "This is Burns’ birthplace and this is the very centre of Burns traditions. But there will be celebrations all over Scotland for visitors to participate in."
