Taking the M56 motorway, head north to the M60 orbital motorway (Junction 5), heading westbound to the M61 (junction 15), which will take you further north to join the M6.
Continue heading north on the M6 up to junction 36, taking the A590 and then A591 signposted to Bowness and Windermere.
